POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a professional position providing Adult Case Management services in the Department of Health Adult Counseling Services and Case Management program under the Outpatient Services Division. The Department of Health Adult Counseling Services and Case Management program provides individual counseling services and linkage to case management and psychiatric services as needed at Pinellas County Department of Health locations. Adult Therapy consists of providing individual, couples', and family counseling for those affected by trauma, mental illness, or substance misuse, using evidence-based practices and the latest research-supported interventions to restore and improve the quality of life for each individual served. Adult Case Management consists of consists of assisting adults with serious and persistent mental illness in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, vocational, and other necessary services.

Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must hold at least a Bachelor's Degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university.
2. A minimum of one year experience working with adults with serious persistent mental illness.
3. Must become and maintain BHCM certification at the employee's own expense.

Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or be willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 immediately upon hire. This is a condition of employment, exemptions to this requirement must be addressed in advance with HR.
