Supervisor of SOAR Works

Salary: $60,000/year

Position Summary:

This is a professional position providing integral support and leadership in the development of the county-wide Supplemental Security Income/Social Disability Income (SSI/SSDI) Outreach, Access and Recovery (SOAR) benefits program. The SOAR Coordinator will convene and lead the local SOAR support meetings to advise and encourage those working with people experiencing homelessness in preparing and submitting complete and appropriate applications.

Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required, with two years' of related and supervisory experience preferred.
2. Certified SOAR Specialist required.
