Senior Director of Programs

This is a key position involving substantial administrative and program development responsibilities.   The Senior Director is directly responsible for multiple clinical and child welfare operations, including adult and children's outreach and outpatient services, child welfare case management services, intensive in-home services, homeless services, psychiatric and psychological services.  Senior Director will consider every idea and responsibility contained herein through the lens of Trauma Informed Care (TIC), and specifically geared towards promoting Recovery for the people served by Directions for Living and the integration of behavioral health and child welfare services. These two guiding principles form an umbrella under which all services provided are contained. The Senior Director serves as the subject matter expert on all topics related to child safety, trauma, treatment, service provision and organizational change to address the impact and prevalence of trauma. The successful incumbent understands the clinical, operational, and workforce changes necessary to effect organizational change across multiple service sectors, including behavioral health services, homeless services, child welfare, schools, primary care, and non-direct human services. Responsible for providing trauma informed leadership, direction, guidance and training for peer supports, case managers, dependency case managers, licensed and non-licensed clinicians, physicians and nurse practitioners, clinical and non-clinical supervisors, and clinical and non-clinical directors while overseeing a range of administrative and clinical activities in support of running a safe and therapeutic milieu. To improve the operations of Directions for Living in support of its stated mission. To provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

Masters' degree in Social Work or related field preferred or  Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Human Services with a minimum of five to seven years of experience in delivering or consulting on child welfare services and/or a combination of child welfare and behavioral services required.  Candidate must have experience delivering trauma-related services, familiarity on trauma theory and research and advancement of trauma-informed approaches. Florida licensure in a clinical specialty preferred. Successful experience as a change agent; implementing quality improvement initiatives and complex organizational change. Dynamic and innovative presentation and public speaking skills; demonstrated knowledge of group facilitation and training skills. Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated expertise in effectively writing blogs, marketing materials, proposals, curriculum and training materials. Adept at learning new technologies to facilitate distance learning (e.g. Adobe Connect, GoToMeeting)
