Psychiatrist

This is a position involving clinical responsibility for psychiatric and related medical practices. Both full time and part time positions are available. No Weekends, No On-Call.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establish and maintain effective rapport with consumers.
2. Develop accurate and complete psychiatric evaluations of consumers.
3. Develop realistic and effective medication treatment plans with consumers and update them as appropriate.
4. Maintain continuity of contact with consumers as appropriate to their            treatment plans.
5. Maintain a level of direct service of at least 70%.
6. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with consumers.
7. Communicate evaluations and plans effectively to primary clinicians.
8. Involve significant others of consumers in their treatment, as appropriate.
9. Exhibit flexibility regarding clinical approach in order to most effectively respond to differing consumer problems.
10. Utilize internal Organization resources for consumer referral as appropriate to achieve the consumer's treatment plan.
11. Adhere to Organization policies, professional standards and legal requirements regarding clinical practice.
12. Provides clinical supervision to a minimum of three Psychiatric ARNPs and others as assigned and needed.
13. Acts as protocol physician for up to three assigned ARNPs.
14. Maintain mediation logs accurately.
15. Document psychiatric evaluations and progress notes in accordance w/organization outlines, policies and reimbursement requirements.
16. Serve in Peer Review and Utilization Review Studies, as necessary, to represent medical practice.
