Psychiatric APRN

This is a responsible position requiring clinical, psychiatric, medical, and administrative duties. Full time Psychiatric APRN's are required to consistently meet a minimum productivity requirement of 1440 billable hours annually or 120 billable hours per month.

Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation. Essential employees may be required to work in the field, be "on call" and/or be available and able to work remotely providing telehealth services depending on the needs of the individual being served.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide psychiatric services, including but not limited to, psychiatric evaluations, case staffing, and ongoing medication treatment as appropriate to the treatment plan either in a clinic setting or via tele-behavioral health as directed by the needs of the agency.
2. Conduct initial and updated psychiatric evaluations and document detailed medical histories either in a clinic setting or via tele-behavioral health as directed by the needs of the agency.
3. Diagnose adults and children based on symptoms and prior medical treatment.
4. Explain treatment options and recommendations with individuals, parents/ guardian or familial supports (with release of information) throughout the treatment course.
5. Prescribe medications on a conservative basis to treat verifiable mental health diseases and conditions.
6. Deliver quality care while maintaining all DFL metrics pertaining to productivity and outcomes. Must meet productivity requirement of a minimum of 120 billable hours per month.
7. Conduct ongoing medication management treatment services as assigned either in a clinic setting or via tele-behavioral health as directed by the needs of the agency.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/ PMHNP and certification required
2. Florida Nursing License
3. M.S. in Nursing
4. Must be computer literate and be proficient in Outlook, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word. Must be able to work proficiently in a Windows environment and be able to learn other software applications quickly.
5. Must be able to use Telehealth platform for service delivery, and for team and individual supervision as needed.
6. Must be competent in the use of electronic health records.
