Licensed Therapist- Children

This is a professional clinical position providing individual and group therapy to adults, and their families. Work involves the application of psychotherapeutic theories, and evidenced based or research supported practices.

Directions for Living has embarked upon implementing and imbedding Trauma Informed Care principles throughout our agency. Candidates should have knowledge and/or interest in assisting Directions for Living carry out this implementation.

DUTIES

  • Clinical Direct Services
  • Establish and maintain effective rapport with clients and maintains high satisfaction rate with clients.
  • Develops and updates realistic and effective treatment plans with clients and their families as required and ensures that all documentation exhibits sound clinical judgment, identifies client success/improvements or issues and identifies client participation in the service process.
  • Conducts thorough client interviews/evaluations using the agency required tools such as the CFARS, FARS, the Mental Health Outcomes Measurement Instrument (MHOMI), the bio-psychosocial and all appropriate screening tools (substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and trauma) exhibiting accuracy and thoroughness of assessments.
  • Maintain contact with clients as determined by the assigned level of care and appropriate to their clinical needs.
  • Provide a minimum of 28 hours per week of direct service to clients (or a minimum of 1344 hours annually) as evidenced by complete documentation of services that has been submitted for billing timely.
  • Using concurrent documentation practices and/or the electronic health record completes all required clinical paperwork within required timeframe of 24 hours.
  • Involve significant others of clients in their treatment, as appropriate.
  • Provides clinical interventions, utilizing flexibility in approach, maintenance of appropriate boundaries, and sound psycho-therapeutic principles.
  • Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and accountability for client care for all assigned clients, with timely follow-up, engagement, managing a high show rate, and ensuring an efficient client discharge planning process.
  • Plan and implement psychotherapeutic and psycho-educational groups for clients in need of enhanced outpatient services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Formal Education
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field required.
  • Licensed as an LCSW or LMHC required.
