Licensed Supervisor

Staff in Together We Rise will work specifically with children and their families who have come to the attention of the child protective investigation division of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, and who have been determined to be safe but at high risk of future child abuse, and neglect. Together We Rise (TWR) will work with all members of the family with a team based approach in a supportive, empowering and respectful manner to assist the family with creating safe and stable parenting practices to facilitate long-term behavior change that will ensure that children are safe in their home.


The Licensed Clinical Supervisor will be a practice leader with oversight of masters prepared clinicians ensuring that the role of the counselor is to work to resolve the parents past trauma related to adverse childhood experiences while understanding that trauma often begets trauma. This position will lead with the understanding that counselors should utilize psycho education to help the parents understand how past trauma impacts family functioning, utilizing pragmatic practical parent training which is skill based and incorporates homework that is to be completed between sessions. The clinical team will provide therapeutic services in the home or in a place convenient to the family and the services needed. The focus of this position is to provide guidance and day to day oversight of the clinical team delivering the direct care services, and to ensure that each family served is receiving the right amount of direct service face-to-face care to mitigate the risks of future child abuse, and neglect to the children in the home. The Licensed Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the productivity of the direct service staff, and ensuring that all clinical outcomes are being achieved in a timely manner. The Licensed Supervisor will be assigned to be on call for coverage after hours and on weekends.


EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must hold a Master's Degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university with two (2) years of supervisory experience and has at least 2 years of experience in working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health, and emotionally disturbed children. Previous child welfare experience is preferred.
  • Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
  • Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW required, and must be maintained throughout employment at the employee's expense.
  • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or be willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 immediately upon hire. This is a condition of employment, exemptions to this requirement must be addressed in advance with HR.
