Housing Navigator

Housing Navigator- Project Hope- This position entails providing case management and supportive interventions to individuals and families who are homeless.  Work involves the development of self-sufficiency plans and application of psychotherapeutic and prevention practices, with an emphasis on resiliency and asset development.  Services are provided in the community. The Housing Navigator works closely with prospective property owners and managers to promote permanent housing opportunities for homeless individuals and families.  Conducts outreach and provides educational information regarding subsidies, security deposit assistance, and support from a single point of contact. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required, with two years' experience and knowledge of housing resources, subsidy programs, and the Continuum of Care for homeless persons preferred.

Directions for Living is an essential services provider.   All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation. Essential employees may be required to work in the field, be "on call" and/or be available and able to work remotely providing telehealth services depending on the needs of the individual being served.
