Director of MIS and IT

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director will work hands on to analyze data and translate insights into actions, business outcomes or a compelling data-driven story. Responsible for sourcing, analyzing and provide data on projects that solve business problems, promote growth or explore new service lines. The Director will find innovative ways to search for meaningful patterns, trends and correlations within the data that lead to actionable findings. Must be able to demonstrate mastery in data story-telling, and will utilize both internal and external data systems to create compelling recommendations for innovative change within the organization. Responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports to the Executive Team, Funders and Community Stakeholders. The Director will also be responsible for maintaining all data system hardware and software operating at peak efficiency. Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating the organization's planning and evaluation activities, including all internal and external reporting of non-financial data.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: **Experience with Avatar**

1. Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Management Information System (MIS), Public Administration, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience in supporting an organization with many systems including financial, healthcare information system, database and sharepoint skills.
2. Previous experience in Nonprofit or Healthcare
3. Knowledge of evaluation, design, and measurement techniques.
4. Knowledge of computer and data base management
5. Requires ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
6. Requires ability to function independently as well as cooperatively with organization's administrative and clinical supervisory staff
7. Requires project management skills
