Director of Information Technology and Data Innovation

Directions for Living is seeking an experienced, innovative Information Technology and Data Innovation Director with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization or healthcare management industry. Must be skilled in Leadership, Administration, Healthcare, Organizational Development, and Training.  The Director will work hands on to analyze data and translate insights into actions, business outcomes or a compelling data-driven story.  Responsible for sourcing, analyzing and provide data on projects that solve business problems, promote growth or explore new service lines. The successful incumbent should be able to find innovative ways to search for meaningful patterns, trends and correlations within the data that lead to actionable findings.  The Director will be required to demonstrate mastery in data story-telling, and will utilize both internal and external data systems to create compelling recommendations for innovative change within the organization. Responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports to the Executive Team, Funders and Community Stakeholders.  The Director will also be responsible for maintaining all data system hardware and software operating at peak efficiency.  Additionally, this position is responsible for coordinating the organization's planning and evaluation activities, including all internal and external reporting of non-financial data.

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience required.  Previous experience in Nonprofit or Healthcare preferred.  Must have working knowledge of My Avatar.   Requires excellent Leadership, communication, technical /statistical writing, organizational and time management skills with the ability to relate well to all types of people.  Must be skilled in calculating basic statistical computations. Must be able to prepare graphical presentations. Knowledge of evaluation, design, measurement techniques, computer and data base management required.
