Director I of Psychiatric Medical Services

Director I of Psychiatric Medical Services:  This position provides leadership and supervision of the administrative functions of the Psychiatric Medicine Department. The Director I is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of all administrative functions related to the psychiatric prescribing staff, medical assistants, and psychological services. The Director I will lead the team of APRN's, psychiatrists and psychologists into the next generation of health records, tele-psychiatry and other innovative prevention and wellness initiatives.  The Director I is responsible for working in partnership with the Human Resource's department on effective clinical provider recruitment, and management of the Client Centered Medical Home Model.  The Director I must have demonstrated expertise in working collaboratively with all provider staff including licensed clinicians, masters prepared clinicians, bachelor prepared service assessors, case managers, financial assessors, and customer services professionals.  The Director I will have an active role in assisting the Director II of Outpatient Services with supporting the strategic plans and the vision of the organization. 

The position is a full-time administrative position and will serve as a direct service provider during planned absences, in the event of an unplanned absence due to illness of the prescribing providers of the department, or when an urgent need arises.  This position is responsible for ensuring that all prescribing providers and psychologists meet the minimum mandatory productivity requirements, providing administrative supervision and oversight to the psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, the Lead Medical Assistant and psychologists.  This position works in close partnership with the Director I of Adult and Child Outpatient Clinic Services, Director I of Housing First, Director I of Intensive Family Services, Director I of Emergency Mental Health Services, Director I of Revenue Management and the Director I of Finance.  Priority will be given to individuals who have a proven track record of working effectively in a fast-paced, high stress, time demanding environment.    Must be Florida Licensed and Board Certified Psychiatrist, or Florida Licensed Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Florida Nursing License), M.S. in nursing required.  Minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory role of a medical practice or facility.   Preference given to 5 + years' progressive experience working in community mental health setting.
