Crisis Counselors LE
Master's-level and Licensed Crisis Counselors will work in partnership with law enforcement on a 24/7 weekly basis. Counselors, under the clinical supervision of a licensed practitioner, will all be trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) to ensure they are able to support the law enforcement officers understanding and confidence in the use of MHFA and respond to law enforcement officers via on-demand Tele behavioral Health when the officers have responded to a call from a person experiencing a mental health crisis. The Crisis Counselor will serve as the behavioral health expert to the law enforcement officer.
Must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited college or university. Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) a plus. One year related previous experience conducting brief clinical assessment for the purposes of involuntary admissions to a psychiatric hospital under the baker act. Must be competent in the use of a Tele-behavioral health platform for service delivery.
