POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a responsible supervisory position providing leadership for an outpatient treatment program serving children, adolescents, families, and adults with mental health problems. It requires management and supervisory skills, and clinical expertise. This position provides oversight for the Largo Center providing clinical services and clinical oversight for the facility.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Administrative/Supervisory Responsibilities

  1. Ensures adequate staff coverage for in-clinic activities.
  2. Ensures that productivity levels of staff are adequate
  3. Reviews statistics and program reports on an ongoing basis and takes appropriate corrective actions as needed.
  4. Monitors progress and ensures achievement of each program's goals and objectives through the development and monitoring of an annual plan.
  5. Participates in the process of program planning as appropriate and requested by the Largo Center Director.
  6. Ensures that client records are maintained with compliance.
  7. Provides onsite clinical services to clients.
  1. Ability to partner across the organization with multiple departments through the exchange of data, information, and frequent communication.

 

Clinical Responsibilities

  1. Provides clinical case reviews.
  2. Develops accurate and complete clinical evaluations of client.
  3. Insures development of realistic treatment plans with client    and their families as required and ensures that all documentation exhibits sound clinical judgment, identifies client progress, strengths and issue and documents client participation in the service process.
  4. Conducts thorough client interviews exhibiting accuracy and thoroughness of assessment and referral skills.
  5. Ensure the clinic manages caseloads appropriately, establishes and maintains effective rapport with clients; engages clients in services and responds and coordinates appropriate referrals in a timely manner.
  6. Provides clinical interventions, utilizing flexibility in approach, maintenance of appropriate boundaries, and sound psychotherapeutic principles.
  7. Insures that all required clinical and administrative paperwork is completed within required time frames.
  8. Adheres to Organization policies, professional standards and legal requirements regarding clinical practice.
  9. Insures that monthly peer reviews are completed
  10. Provides direct services to consumers as required by Largo Center Director.
  11. Maintains confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations and maintains security of both electronic and paper client documents.
  12. Develops and demonstrates cultural competency in service provision to the diversity of persons served.Personal Staff Development

  1. Formulates and updates annual performance objectives which appropriately address personal goals and the responsibilities of the position    
  2. Pursues continuing education and development opportunities; maintains necessary credentials/licensure to perform job; completes corporate and grant/funder training in a timely manner.
  3. Demonstrates competency in utilizing e-learning system.
  4. Up to date on all e-learnings & mandatory DFL trainings.
  5. Demonstrates competency in utilizing the electronic health record.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Regularly attends scheduled organization and service center meetings.
  2. Provides consultative and educational services to other individuals, organizations, and the public, as appropriate to this position and as expected by the Largo Center Director.
  3. Interfaces with community agencies and groups in the community to develop referrals, identify program funding opportunities, and develop and maintain collaborative relationships
  4. Completes administrative reports and forms.
  5. Provides clinical back-up, as needed and appropriate to program needs.
  6. Comply with all agency policies and procedures including, but not limited to, the agency attendance policy, code of conduct, and ethics policy
  7. Must not present a direct threat to the safety or health of the employee or others
  8. Attend trainings as required
  9. Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  10. Effectively and consistently follow through with assignments in the designated time frame
  11. Maintain consumer confidentiality according to state law, professional standards, and agency policy
  12. Promote and maintain a professional attitude at all times

 

ACCESS TO PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION:

 

Will be knowledgeable in and practice all policies and procedures related to privacy and security practices cited in the Health Insurance Portability and Privacy Act (HIPPA) applicable to my program and position.

 

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Master's Degree in Human Services Field. Florida licensure required as an LMHC, LMFT or LCSW.
  2. Requires excellent organizational and time management skills.
  3. Must have leadership and management skills
  4. Must effectively apply clinical knowledge.
  5. Must obtain and maintain CPI certification.
  6. Must understand program cost center budget process.
  7. Must maintain appropriate balance between autonomous functioning and the use of supervisory support.
  8. Must have reading and writing skills that enable reading and writing progress notes, treatment plans and pertinent information concerning             the client.
  9. Knowledge of Medicaid regulations.
  10. Must have sufficient administrative knowledge to provide quality leadership for personnel of varied degrees of experience and training, must have sufficient clinical knowledge to provide clinical intervention with children and adolescents who manifest a range of pathology, and their families, utilizing various treatment approaches, and to provide clinical supervision to assigned staff.
  11. Minimum three years relevant experience.
  12. To supervise multiple clinical staff and programs.
  13. To drive own vehicle to meetings and program activities.
  14. To stay calm and follow procedures in an emergency.
  15. To de-escalate agitated clients.
  16. To monitor both non-verbal and verbal communications and behavior.
  17. To monitor clients through visual and auditory means.
  18. To have knowledge of wide range of effective therapeutic interventions and treatment models for adults and children, including Family Wraparound, DBT, TFCBT, CPT and Co-Occurring Disorders treatment. KEY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Answer telephones promptly and in an appropriate manner using tact and courtesy. Apply knowledge of the Organization's programs and resources in taking messages and giving information. This will involve routing emergency calls to the proper personnel, quickly and efficiently.Must not present a direct threat to the safety or health of self or others.Remain current on training and documentation requirements.. Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.Supports and adheres to the five client promises.
