Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

Pay Rate: $15.75/ hour plus benefits!

This is a professional position with the Pinellas County Empowerment Team 2.0 (PCET) that provides effective recovery support services for clients by certified peer with lived experiences. The certified peer provides supportive guidance and mentoring through ongoing assertive engagement to a subacute population of adults with severe or persistent mental illness (SPMI) who are disproportionately overinvolved with the County Jail, public crisis stabilization unit/receiving facility, and/or medical emergency room touches and are at an increased risk for repeated or overuse of public resources. The adults will be identified exclusively by Pinellas County Health and Human Services and assigned to PCET 2.0.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Relevant lived experience in mental health or substance use treatment and recovery.
• Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or be willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 immediately upon hire. This is a condition of employment, exemptions to this requirement must be addressed in advance with HR.
